NanoSolar™ is made for high-temperature service, NanoPolar™ for cryogenic and sub-ambient service, and NanoPhonic™ for piping where noise control is needed together with thermal insulation. Tell us your operating temperature and what you need to achieve, and our technical team will recommend the right system.
An aerogel insulation blanket is a flexible thermal insulation material made by embedding silica aerogel - one of the lightest solid materials known - into a fibre reinforcement. With thermal conductivity below 0.021 W/m·K, aerogel blankets such as NanoSolar™ and NanoPolar™ insulate two to five times better than mineral wool at a fraction of the thickness.
Aerogel insulation achieves the same thermal resistance at roughly 20-50% of the thickness and weight of mineral wool or calcium silicate. It is hydrophobic, does not slump or compact over time, and installs faster because it cuts with standard tools and wraps around complex fittings without oversized cladding profiles.
NanoGels aerogel insulation covers a continuous service range from -196°C to +650°C. NanoPolar™ handles cryogenic and sub-ambient duties such as LNG systems, while NanoSolar™ is engineered for high-temperature process piping, steam networks and exhaust systems.
Yes. NanoGels aerogel blankets are hydrophobic throughout their thickness yet vapour-permeable (breathable), so liquid water is repelled while trapped moisture can escape. Keeping the pipe surface dry dramatically reduces the risk of corrosion under insulation - one of the costliest integrity threats in oil, gas and petrochemical plants.
NanoSolar™ aerogel blanket carries a Class A non-combustible reaction-to-fire classification - the highest rating under ASTM E84 / UL 723. It does not contribute fuel to a fire and is used in fire-safe designs and fire resistance build-ups. The product also achieved non-combustibility testing of maritime materials IMO 2010 FTP Code parts 1, 2, and 5.
Yes. NanoPolar™ is formulated for cryogenic service down to -196°C. It prevents heat gain, minimises boil-off, resists cracking under thermal shock and replaces bulky multi-layer traditional systems on LNG storage, transfer lines, cold boxes and sub-ambient process equipment.
Aerogel blankets are cut with standard knives or shears and wrapped directly onto piping, vessels and fittings - no specialised tools or hot work required. Our Abu Dhabi facility also supplies CNC pre-cut kits for complex fittings, factory-cut to shape so crews simply fit and secure them on site, reducing installation time and waste.
We are based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with an annual production capacity of up to 3 million square metres, and supply insulation contractors, distributors, EPC contractors and end-users across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Many orders are customised to project specifications.
NanoSolar™ is our premium flexible aerogel insulation blanket for high-temperature applications, combined with a Class A1 non-combustible rating. It delivers industry-leading thermal resistance, protecting critical infrastructure and optimizing energy efficiency in intense heat environments.
It is ideal for oil and gas processing, steam piping, power generation plants, industrial ovens and solar thermal systems. In the construction sector it insulates walls, roofs and historic building retrofits where space is tight.
Yes. NanoSolar™ silica aerogel insulation is a strong option for corrosive operating environments because of the combination of Hydrophobicity, Vapor permeability, Physical stability, Thin installed profile, and Lifecycle perspective.
Yes. NanoSolar™ carries a Class A non-combustible rating as per ASTM E84 / UL 723, giving fire safety together with maximum thermal efficiency in an ultra-thin profile. The product also achieved non-combustibility testing of maritime materials IMO 2010 FTP Code parts 1, 2, and 5.
NanoSolar™ combines ultra-low thermal conductivity with a space-saving thin profile and long-term structural stability, so it saves critical space while delivering the thermal performance you need.
NanoPolar™ is our advanced aerogel insulation formulated for cryogenic and sub-ambient temperature control. It prevents heat gain, minimizes boil-off and maintains strict temperature stability in the coldest environments.
It is ideal for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) transport and storage, aerospace systems, biomedical refrigeration and petrochemical cold-chain logistics.
Yes. NanoPolar™ provides an exceptional thermal barrier at sub-zero temperatures and eliminates the need for bulky traditional insulation.
Moisture retained near metal can contribute to CUI. NanoPolar™ reduces the risk of moisture ingress, which is one of the main causes of failure in cold insulation systems.
Yes. NanoPolar™ resists cracking under thermal shock, so it keeps protecting the system as temperatures change.
NanoPhonic® is our state-of-the-art acoustic insulation system for demanding industrial, oil & gas and commercial piping applications. It combines the thermal efficiency of aerogel with advanced acoustic dampening materials to eliminate industrial noise pollution while maintaining a minimal spatial footprint.
NanoPhonic™ is compliant to ISO 15665 Class A, B and C and with Shell DEP 31.46.00.31, for the acoustic insulation of industrial piping, flanges and valves.
The system is up to 50% thinner and lighter than traditional fiberglass or mineral wool systems, which reduces the structural load.
Yes. It delivers acoustic attenuation and aerogel thermal insulation in a single, unified system.
Its hydrophobic aerogel matrix resists moisture, drastically reducing the risk of corrosion under insulation (CUI). The system also resists compaction, vibration and mechanical damage, maintaining its acoustic performance over its lifespan.
It is ideal for high-pressure gas bypass and compressor piping, process piping in oil refineries and petrochemical plants, offshore oil platforms and marine vessels, and industrial fans, vents and valve configurations.
